Nations Transitional Authority.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Graydon is appointed Chief of the Air Staff.

Royal Air Force (RAF) participation in the United Nations-sponsored air
effort to aid Somalia, Operation Vigour, commences. During the operation,
more than five million pounds of freight are delivered from Mombassa in
Kenya.
